Decay of Logos is a third-person action/adventure RPG that is published by Rising Star Games and developed by Amplify Creations. Decay of Logos is a game that gives emphasis on tactical combat, exploration, and inventory management.

At the core of its gameplay mechanics is the companion system, as the mystical Elk will be crucial to progression. More than a mount, the companion is a key component to puzzle interaction, exploration, and will even help in some combat situations. 

Decay of Logos will be available for the following platforms on the following dates:

• Playstation®4 - August 27, 2019.
• Nintendo Switch - August 29, 2019.
• Xbox One - August 30, 2019.
• PC (via Steam or Utomik)  - August 30, 2019.

 

Game Story Overview

In a realm that is heavily set on fantasy, there lived a king and a queen who ruled a kingdom and land where knights, wizards, ancient creatures, and mythical beings coexist. The kingdom was ruled by a serene queen and warring king alongside their five sons where the King only laid his attention towards his militia and less towards his sons.

As time passed, the queen bore a child and an unfortunate event happened where she died while giving birth to a girl, the king's only daughter and princess in the realm. Saddened with the situation, the King decides to protect his newborn daughter by putting all his attention onto her no matter what - this caused the distant relationship between the king and his sons to grow even more.

The king's sons felt abandoned and their shared hatred towards their father alongside their sister grew. The sons then blamed their sister for being the cause of their mother's death and resented their father for choosing to show his affection only to their sister. Obsessed with power and revenge, the king's sons drifted apart and claimed their own lands where they would influence their people and complete their plans towards achieving their personal ventures. This was the great divide that happened within the Royal Family.

At present day, we meet Ada, a villager who managed to escape the massacre that killed her people and destroyed her village. Without knowing the cause and mastermind behind the destruction, Ada collapses into a village where she is awakened by a mystical Elk. Ada sensed a bond where she felt a serene and safe feeling, and there was no question that the two forged an unexplainable connection.

With the help of the Elk, Ada then decides to avenge her people by traveling to the north hoping to acquire more clues regarding the destruction that fell upon her village, not knowing that she is about to face an adventure where ancient creatures and hostile beings roam around a dark and wicked force.

• The Adventure Begins: Her village destroyed, she traveled North with her elk companion hoping to find any clues about those who wronged her. You’ll start in the outskirts of the Laetus Grove, only to find that all is not what it seems - strange hostile dwellers with wooden bodies and vacant eyes now patrol this land...
  
  

 

• Challenging Combat: Lock-on to enemies for a more tactical approach; parry, dodge and counter-attack while always keeping your stamina in check as you deliver deadly blows and combos. Prepare your battles ahead by using the elk's secondary inventory to store a variety of short and long range-weapons, defense gear, and potions.
  
  

 

• High-Fantasy World: Set in a far-reaching and interconnected semi-open world, you’ll explore a divided kingdom once ruled by a warring King. Tragedy struck when his beloved Queen died during childbirth - the royal family was irreversibly broken and the King’s sons drifted apart, each claiming a piece of the realm. Make your way through the lush woodland, the great Howling Rift, degraded swamps, ancestral grounds, and many other unique locations.
  
  

 

• Living World: You’ll travel alone with your companion, facing off the likes of giants and many other mystical foes while clearing the path by solving ancestral environmental puzzles. With a will of its own, and more than a mount, you must strengthen your bond by petting and feeding the elk before you can ride it. Ada will come across several charismatic NPC's along the way; fully voice acted, they're a good source of lore, guidance, and items.
  
  

 

• Immersive Experience: Decay of Logos invites player exploration with minimal hand-holding by using a minimalistic interface while relying on environmental cues and dialogue for guidance. Ada even displays all gear and items on her while animations reflect her physical state. Leveling is fully automated and based on your play style, Ada gains stats when you kill an enemy, activate a mechanism or even when finding a secret chest.
